I was reading an article from the Telegraph online today and scrolled down to read the reader comments at the end of the article. I don't know why I do this, because it inevitably makes me angry. People say the stupidest things in the comments sections of newspapers and blogs (although, not in my blog, of course!). It's like all of the freaks, weirdos, and nuts just can't help themselves when given free reign to comment anonymously in public.
Anyway, one of my biggest pet peeves is when people make comments such as "Who cares?" and "You call this news?" I always think to myself, "Dude, you didn't have to read this article. If you don't care about it, don't read it. No one is forcing you to read fluffy articles in the newspaper." Me, I like the fluffy news sometimes. The real news is often frustrating and depressing, so it's nice to lighten it up with something utterly unimportant to the grand scheme of life.
So, to all of those people who don't care about a particular news article topic, I offer this simple advice: Don't read it!
