Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
Ah, it's that time of year again. The air is getting cold, the leaves have fallen off the trees, and football is on the TV. It's starting to get hectic with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. However, today is the day when we take some time out to think about all of the things we are thankful for. So, in that spirit, here is my "thankful" list for 2010:
- My husband - I love him so much and am thankful for every day that we are together. I feel truly blessed that we found each other.
- Max and Mia - I love our little furballs so much, and I am especially thankful for them right now with Cesar an ocean away. I think I would be lonely beyond words without kitty snuggles every night and morning.
(Max is on the left and Mia is on the right.)
- My family - I am so lucky to have loving, supportive parents, a terrific big brother, a sister-in-law who is my friend, two nieces and a nephew who are growing into amazing people, an aunt and uncle whom I adore and admire, and super cool cousins! Not only am I thankful for my own family, but also for my extended family. Cesar's parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins are wonderful people. I am so thankful that we all get along and like each other!
- The experience of living in London - what can I say? I will be eternally thankful for the opportunity I've had living here. It has been a dream come true and has exceeded any wishes I could ever have.
- My friends - I don't know where I would be without my friends. Whether new friends or long-time friends, I am thankful for each and everyone one of them.
- My faith - My faith in God has helped me through difficult times, given me guidance to do the right thing, and to be a better, kinder, more loving person.
- My health - I have struggled so much over the past 5-6 years with poor health due to chronic migraines. Although I still get them, I seem to be getting better all the time. I am thankful that I can now go a week without getting a migraine, which is such a huge improvement from years past. I am taking less medication and feel like I have my life back again. When I think back to the year before we moved here and compare it to now, I am so much better it's shocking. Not being in pain every day has improved the quality of my life so much. I can't really explain it other than to say that I consider every day that I am not in pain a gift that I treasure.
Yes, 2010 has been a great year. I am loved and I love. I am getting healthier. I am happy. So, so much to be thankful for.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and celebratein a way that makes you happy! Now, I am off to Borough Market to get a Thanksgiving on a Bun sandwich, which is otherwise known as a turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwich. YAY!
